At the Erongo Mountain Winery, the art of whisky distillation is redefined: indigenous grains like Mahangu form the base, but the true secret lies in kilning the grain over burning elephant dung – a natural, African alternative to classic peat, creating a completely unique smoke profile. After maturation in Virgin Oak and Refill Casks, a carefully selected Rum Cask Finish lends this Single Malt its final, mellow complexity.

Taste Experience

The visual presence in the glass – a rich terracotta – already hints at the aromatic density of this unfiltered and uncolored whisky. On the nose, a ripe, spicy smoke unfolds, elegantly interwoven with the sweet nuances of dark cherries, blackberries, and delicate vanilla. On the palate, powerful red fruits and creamy caramel meet, while the influence of the rum casks contributes a spicy note of cinnamon and sandalwood – a long-lasting, chocolatey finish completes the experience.
