Kanosuke Distillery – Japanese Single Malt Whisky from Kagoshima

The Kanosuke Distillery was founded in Kagoshima in 2017 and draws on the expertise of the Komasa family, who have been refining spirits since 1883. Under the direction of Master Blender Yoshitsugu Komasa, the distillery combines European wine cask tradition with Japanese distillation artistry to achieve a unique balance.

Kanosuke's unique selling point is the art of sherry vatting: whiskies from Oloroso and Cream sherry casks are combined with portions from new American white oak. The "Wa" nuance typical of Kanosuke – a Japanese spice – is created by using pre-used Shochu casks, giving each distillate an unmistakable identity.

Bottled without chill filtrationand without added coloring– for an authentic taste experience that preserves the full texture and maritime depth of Kagoshima.
