Torabhaig Distillery – Isle of Skye Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Torabhaig Distillery was founded in 2017 as the second distillery on the Isle of Skye. In the shadow of the “hill above the bay”, it pursues a consistently independent path, focusing on transparency, authenticity, and artisanal precision. Under the motto “Stoidhle Taighe” – the house style – single malts are created that bridge the gap between the wild nature of the Hebrides and masterful cask selection.

Torabhaig's unique selling proposition is the philosophy “Smoke with Taste”: the peat smoke does not dominate but is embedded in a tapestry of citrus notes, vanilla sweetness, and maritime nuances. Whiskymaker Neil MacLeod Mathieson relies on diverse cask maturation in Bourbon, refill Bourbon, and Madeira casks, which lends remarkable complexity to the smoky distillate.
