Collection: GlenDronach
The GlenDronach Collection has embodied Highland tradition since 1826 . second licensed distillery after the Excise Act of 1823, founded by James Allardice in the Gaelic "Valley of the blackberries" . After burning in 1837 and rebuilding by Walter Scott ( 1852), Charles Grant ( son of the Glenfiddich founder, from 1920) shaped the legacy. The true transformation took place in 2008 under Billy Walker (BenRiach Distillery Company), who developed the distillery into the "new Macallan" through uncompromising sherry cask maturation in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez casks. The portfolio includes the core range 12, 15 and 18 Years Old , as well as the legendary Single Cask Series with individual cask fillings. After the Mothball period. GlenDronach has been part of the company since 1996-2002. In 2016, it became part of Brown-Forman ( a £281 million deal with BenRiach and Glenglassaugh). Master Blender Rachel Barrie (formerly Glenmorangie, Ardbeg) continues the Sherry legacy with four pot stills . Each unfiltered bottling combines 200 years of craftsmanship with opulent sherry fruitiness – dark, complex and collector- worthy with vintage rarities that set auction records .
