Kavalan – Taiwanese single malt whiskey

This Taiwanese distillery was founded in 2005 and is one of the leading producers of single malt whisky outside of Scotland. Production takes place under tropical climatic conditions, which promote accelerated maturation.

The style is intense, fruit-forward, and strongly influenced by the choice of cask, particularly the use of sherry, wine, and ex-bourbon casks. The whiskies are known for their rich aromas.
