With Ondjaba, a whisky enters the stage that is as unique as the country it comes from: Namibia. Far from the Scottish Highlands and Irish coasts, a single malt was created here, in the middle of the African wilderness, which develops remarkable depth and complexity with its double maturation in Bourbon and Sherry casks. The name "Ondjaba" comes from the Himba language and stands for strength – a promise that this whisky impressively delivers with its 51% cask strength.

Taste Experience

The combination of Bourbon and Sherry cask maturation gives Ondjaba a fascinating complexity. The nose opens with warm notes of vanilla and caramel, underpinned by a characteristic smoke reminiscent of the vast Namibian savanna. On the palate, the 51% cask strength reveals a pleasant warmth, accompanied by dried fruits, dark chocolate, and a hint of spices. The finish is long, lightly smoky, and leaves a pleasant sweetness.
