This limited edition combines the essence of different cask types at cask strength, offering an unforgettable tasting experience. Bottled without chill filtration and in its natural color, this single malt whisky showcases the unadulterated intensity and complexity that can only be achieved through the combination of carefully selected casks.

The Lore Cask Strength edition undergoes a multi-stage maturation process in various cask types: ex-bourbon barrels, quarter casks, and Oloroso sherry hogsheads blend into a harmonious symbiosis of smoky power and fruity depth. The quarter casks, with their larger wood surface area, accelerate the maturation process and impart additional spice and complexity to the whisky. Islay's maritime climate and proximity to the sea impart distinctive coastal aromas to every drop.

Tasting Notes

Color: Deep mahogany with golden reflections that reflect the intensive sherry cask maturation.

Aroma: Powerful peat smoke blends with sweet sherry notes. Dried fruit, dark chocolate, and vanilla meet maritime saltiness. Underpinned by toasted oak, leather, and a hint of iodine and seaweed.

Palate: Intense waves of smoke with ashy peat, accompanied by sweet Oloroso sherry influence. Raisins, candied oranges, and Manuka honey meld with spicy oak, black pepper, and nutmeg. The maritime salinity adds a refreshing complexity.

Departure: Exceptionally long and warming, with a perfect interplay of peat, sweet dried fruits, and savory spices. The smoky notes fade slowly, leaving a lasting impression of dark chocolate, oak, and sea salt.
