Maturation & Special Features

The Càirdeas 2017 Edition undergoes careful maturation in quarter casks – smaller barrels that offer a larger contact area between the whisky and the wood. Intense smoke and ashy peat, accompanied by sweet vanilla, butterscotch, and honey. Maritime salinity and spicy oak notes create a complex depth of flavor with hints of white pepper, cinnamon, and tropical fruits. The cask strength bottling gives the whisky a powerful, oily texture.

Long-lasting and warming, with a perfect balance of peat, sweet vanilla, and spicy oak. The smoky aromas fade slowly, leaving behind hints of caramel, spices, and sea salt.
