Maturation & Special Features

The whisky initially matured in traditional oak casks before being finished in selected Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. This finishing touch adds further depth to the typical Lagavulin smokiness, along with notes of dark fruit and a gentle sweetness. The result is a distinctive Islay single malt that is both powerful and harmonious.
