Maturation & Special Feature

After classic maturation in American ex-Bourbon casks, this whisky is finished in specially toasted Portuguese red wine casks. Toasting the casks opens up the wood structure, imparting intense fruit and spice notes to the whisky, which are wonderfully complemented by the red wine aromas from the cask. A strictly limited bottling for collectors and connoisseurs.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Ripe red berries, sour cherry, and plum meet vanilla, dark chocolate, and a hint of toasted oak. Subtle notes of cinnamon and dried herbs complete the bouquet.

Palate

Silky and full-bodied – blackberry jam and dark chocolate unfold alongside notes of red wine, walnut, and mild pepper. The sweetness of the Bourbon cask harmonizes perfectly with the fruitiness of the red wine cask.
