GlenAllachie Sinteis Series Part I – The expressive cask fusion whisky
The GlenAllachie 2014/2025 from the new Sinteis Series is an exceptional single cask bottling from the heart of Speyside. Master Distiller Billy Walker once again demonstrates his signature style with this release: uncompromising cask selection, the highest level of craftsmanship, and a keen sense for extraordinary aromas. "Sinteis"—from the Gaelic word for "fusion"—is more than just a name here: it's the concept.
Taste experience
This cask-strength bottling at 57.8% ABV combines the spice of virgin Chinquapin oak from the Ozark Mountains of Missouri with the sweet depth of Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The result: a powerful, aromatically rich whisky with notes of sweet spices, anise, dark chocolate, and ripe dried fruit – complex, intense, and authentic.
Special feature
For this first edition of the Sinteis Series, Billy Walker hand-selected Chinquapin oak barrels and first-fill PX sherry puncheons from his stock of over 50,000 casks. The whisky is non-chill filtered and uncolored – a true natural product at cask strength. The elegant packaging is by Scottish artist Kayley Barbour, who uses a hand-drawn, foiled symbol to artfully depict the fusion of the different wood types.
