Distilled in August 2011 and bottled at cask strength with a robust 55.9% ABV in June 2024, GlenAllachie combines intense fruit sweetness with distinctive spice. Only 765 bottles of this original bottling were exclusively released for the German market.

Twelve Years of Maturation Selected by Billy Walker

For this single cask bottling, Master Distiller Billy Walker selected Ruby Port Pipe cask 7438. The twelve years of maturation combine the character of the Speyside distillate with the fruity depth of Portuguese port wine. Bottled without colouring, the whisky presents a deep hue reminiscent of cherry wood. Chill filtration was also omitted.

Dark Berries and Spicy Depth

Strawberries, forest berries and floral Turkish delight notes open up a multifaceted bouquet, accompanied by caramel, mocha and honey. On the palate, chocolate and creamy toffee provide richness, while dark berries and blackcurrant tart emphasise the fruit. Cinnamon, ginger and a hint of liquorice give the oily, powerful body definition. A long finish brings together ripe berries and fine spice.

Nose

Inviting strawberries and forest berries combine with caramel and fine mocha. Floral notes of Turkish delight and golden honey lend the bouquet elegant complexity.

Palate

Full-bodied chocolate and creamy toffee meet dark berries. Cinnamon and the fine spiciness of ginger add distinctive accents, complemented by heather honey and a hint of liquorice.

Finish

Long-lasting, with ripe berries and lingering spice.
