Urban Craftsmanship and the Lowlands Renaissance

The name Glasgow 1770 recalls the founding year of the original distillery and combines this heritage with modern distilling craftsmanship. For The Original Batch #1, the single malt was first matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks. The subsequent finish in fresh American oak, also known as virgin oak, complements the fruity base with vanilla, baked goods notes and pronounced wood spice. Bottled without colouring and without chill filtration.

Rich Fruit, Marzipan and Dark Chocolate

Blackberries, mango and green apple open up a multi-layered aromatic interplay, accompanied by orange marmalade and delicate grape notes. On the palate, spiced pears and toffee apples combine with marzipan, vanilla and malt biscuits.
