Palo Cortado – the crowning glory of the Sherry family

Palo Cortado is considered the rarest and most noble variant among sherries – a natural cross between Fino and Oloroso, which only arises under exceptional circumstances. Casks that housed this unique sherry impart a complexity to the whisky that oscillates between the delicate elegance of a Fino and the deep, oxidative spice of an Oloroso. Cask #17/228 contained precisely this treasure and matured the spirit distilled in 2017 for nine years until bottling in 2026.
