Taste Experience

At the Lochranza Distillery, great importance is placed on the purity of the water, which cascades down from Loch Na Davie over six natural waterfalls. The onion-shaped pot stills with their distinctive long necks favor a particularly fine, elegant distillate, which was allowed to mature to its full form for eighteen years in selected Oloroso sherry casks. The eye is delighted by a natural, deep copper tone. On the nose, aromas of ripe figs, dates, and syrupy sweetness unfold, accompanied by fine oak spice and vanilla custard. On the palate, the whisky proves to be powerful and multifaceted: notes of dark chocolate, blood oranges, and caramelized sugar merge with hints of pipe tobacco and fine leather.
