Named after Loch Uigeadail, which supplies the distillery with water, this single malt carries its origins on the south coast of Islay in its name. For the original bottling, Ardbeg combines different cask finishes: classic ex-bourbon casks meet characterful sherry butts. Vanilla and oak spices complement the dark fruit sweetness and distinctive peat smoke. The whisky is bottled without colouring and without chill filtration.

An Interplay of Bonfire and Dried Fruit

The nose is dominated by bonfire smoke and a maritime breeze, brightened by lime and soft vanilla. On the palate, an oily, dense texture unfolds: sweet sherry notes, dates and raisins combine with dark molasses, spicy bacon notes and redcurrants.
